How Old Are My Chickens, Actually?

When I bought these two Welsummers, they were supposed to be about a week old according to the store. That would make them currently 8 weeks. They seem a little big for 8 weeks to me. I could be wrong, but I they might be a bit older. Any guesses?

Those look more like 12-14 week old to me! Maybe even older.

Good looking birds! I think you got your money's worth regardless of age. Won't be long before you're getting eggs. And then babies!

Thanks for the fast replies everyone. I guess I shouldn't trust the age I was told for these guys either. They are White Rock Pullets, they are supposed to be about 4 weeks old.

I had some Barred Rocks that were about that size at 4 weeks.

This is correct.

The wellies are about 4 months old. A male and female.
