how old do muscovy ducks have to be to tell the gender?

How many weeks is it when the Muscovy drakes would have its big growth spurt that seem to get almost twice as big overnight? Mine were also hatched in the beginning of sept and its hard to tell the gender of them.
usually around 6-8 weeks the drakes start to out grow the ducks by 12 weeks they are huge. compared to the ducks.

I have 2 and they are about 10 weeks old. The white one is bigger then the other one. Also the white one weighs 5lbs and the other one weighs 4.2lbs. There voices sound diffirent too. The smaller one has an very weird sound and it sounds louder then the white one. The white one has an quiter sound, still sounds like a duckling. It also sounds more high pitched.

Usually by 10 weeks the drake should be out growing the duck, and usually the drake makes more of a rasping sound . if they are both the very same age and that much difference in weight then you probably have one of each. Ducks make trilling sounds boys sound like they have a cold. google muscovy voice and see what you come up with,

I googled it and it only talked about adult muscovies, not 10 week old muscovies. They do both sound diffirent. The dark one makes a lot of trilling sounds and sometimes a sound that almost sounds like a quack. The white one still sounds like a ducking and more high pitched, but not as loud. Maybe I should video them and post them on youtube. I can't find any videos of voices of young muscovies.

Here is a video of my Muscovies taking a bath with my adult runner drake. It shows how much they have grown as of now.

I need to get a video of them talking to each other. They were quiet and didn't want to talk with the camara on.

They kind of look the same size in the tub but it's hard to say. The one with angel wing though you should trim her feathers so it doesn't get caught on things. I think a video of them talking may bring it to light as far as sexing them, but if the one is trilling and the other isn't then you may have a pair. They sure are pretty. Is your runner older younger or same age, seem s like it may be the boss of the group?

My runner duck was hatched in late april, so he is a lot older then my 10 week old muscovies. Here is a picture of the crest of the white one and I finely got a video of them talking, took a while to get that. Dark one does not seem to have the muscovy mohawk. I have other videos of them in my channel.

I swear I am thinking 2 ducks not drake. just looking at your white ones face and legs don't look that thick yet either. you may just have to wait 2-3 more weeks to know for sure. voice i heard sounded ducky

May sound odd but when you pick them up who can you tuck most easily under your arm? This came up in a talk before over this relentless gender Muscovy issue lol For instance, my 5mth old duck can tuck under my arm easily whereas her brothers that was almost impossible to do. I am a petite woman too.

I didn't look at the video as my internet is sketchy today that said, by 10wks you should be seeing differences between the two if they are opposite genders.

Here is a shot of her months ago with her brothers surrounding her(it was a clutch of 9, 8 drakes lol) She is the little chocolate closest to the wood feeder... the white duck in the background is the one who raised them. She was approx 7+wks old(obviously so were the boys)
