How old is old?

My oldest is only two and a half, but they are proving to be healthy and strong. I have no doubt that they will happily grow old. I consider them beginning to get old at around 7.

I guess I can't stress this enough now, can I? Proper care is key to making sure your chickens live long, happy lives. I'm sure your chickens will outlive many other chickens!

My oldest turn 4 in the spring. Of the original 9 birds we only lost 2. I hope they make it to 11 or 25!
Wait I forgot about Huey we dont know how old he is. But I thought he might be over year when we got him so that makes him soon to be 5ish.

The original flock was 2 rir, 2 br, 2 ees, 1lh, and 1 sb. We've added more of those breeds and bo, bcm, a wcp and some mixed breeds from those.
