How old till I can put them in the coop?

I have 4 silkies who are now 8 1/2 weeks old. They are still living in my sunroom cause I am afraid to put them in the coop. How long till I can boot their fuzzy little butts out to the palace that awaits them?

Location... Bucks County PA... temps at night... around 40.

Oh, I also have a WCPolish Bantam who is still not out in the coop cause I didn't want to put her out there by herself.

Are they fully feathered?

At 8 weeks old they are good to go to the coop. Check the local weather!

If they are going into the coop without other hens, then it is time. If they will go in with others wait until they are about the same size. Good luck. I bet they are precious. Gloria Jean

I'd put them in the coop now, if the coop is big then try barricade off a smaller area for them/ or block them from bigger birds.

You can start by just putting them out during the day for the next couple of days or so ...
