How Old When Buttercups & Ameraucanas Start Laying?

Update! Merry Christmas to all! The Buttercup has now laid 3 eggs in 4 days! So much for everything I've read about this breed being a rather poor layer or, at best, a mediocre one. At least for me so far. LOL!
I guess also here in the coastal valleys of Northern California, it's not so much how many hours of daylight there is to activate the hens' laying hormones, but how much actual sunshine they get on any given winter's day. Which here we may have short days, but we have quite a lot of sun during those shortened days unlike many parts of the US.
Cheers!

I think some good ol' sun helps anyone on how they feel, especially hens laying. My flock as a whole is doing quite well with anywhere between 8-12 eggs a day from 16 hens. 4 of these girls are not laying yet and for the most part I know who is and is not laying. I'm getting 4-5 a week from the Buttercup hen. She and the Hamburg's love to lay eggs for me if I let them out so they can do so in the barn.
