I would have to say that the Barred Rock is about 4-6 weeks old and the Buff Orp looks to be about 2-4 weeks old. Thanks for the pictures! I have 8 Barred Rocks and the oldest is 3 weeks old and slightly smaller than your Barred Rock. I do not own any Buff Orp but have seen them in different stages. That is my best guess from what you have shown on here. I can't believe that the store couldn't tell you how old they are...odd

he might have but I'm pretty sure it was days i bought them at the day old price so i guess i got a deal lol its was $1.75 each for 1day to a week old and the 4-6 week old where $4.00

Yeah I'd be inclined to believe 3-6weeks but not days. Plus considering he sold them to you at newborn price my guess is that is what he told you too. Don't think I'd be buying from there again just on principle..lol. I like to know that the people I buy from knows what they are talking about and selling...but that's just me. I still think they are the same age as I previously stated. Good luck!

Your chicks are no older than four weeks, probably closer to three weeks.
