How rare is a crowing hen?

How rare is it for a hen to crow? I was convinced this cochin was a pullet. Until I heard it crow yesterday!! It doesn't scream rooster to me, but I've been fooled before. Is this a hen or a roo?? I was trying to attach a video, but it won't attach. May be hard to tell from this one shot. Probably close to 6-7 months old.

Thank you!! Thankfully he is very sweet, too. He's massive, wish I could get a better picture to show how big he is. I truly thought it was a girl, I kept looking for a longer tail on him, but he fooled me! LOL

Theoretically possible for a hen with serious hormone issues to crow, but that's not a hen. Lovely boy!

I have a 3 year old black Cochin rooster just like the one you have pictured. He is a gentle giant and I couldn't ask for a better rooster. The hens don't seem to mind his size and he has a good size harem of hens that follow him around.

Thank you all!! I can't believe this big guy fooled me! I've owned chickens for years, but for some reason was sure he was a hen. But he is very gentle and sweet, I just hope he stays that way! I have had terrible luck with mean roos!
