how serious is shell-less eggs

Okay, I did not know that was a thing. Little embarrassed to say I thought molting only happened if they where sick. ^_^;

Here's a photo of her taken on the 25th with a bit of feathers around her. She had just gotten out of the pool and was cleaning herself. You can also see the black spots that have appeared on her nose too.

sure looks like she is molting, not sure how long a ducks molt lasts, my chickens can take up to 6 weeks to finish it. but like the others said it is not normal to lay more than 1 egg a day

The extra eggs hppened when I added the calcium to her food. This morning I decided not to put any in and so far she has not laid an egg today. (Normally she lays between 9 and 10am. It's 3pm for me right now.)
I called the vet office back and the soonest I can get her in is next Tuesday. Went ahead and made her an appointment.

I think you will know before next Tuesday. I expect it’s a result of molting or just the time of year. Ducks get finicky around this time, some breeds worse than others. I have 15 duck hens and none are laying! (One on eggs, 3 raising babies) I’m not getting very many chicken eggs now either.

I’d just keep a watch and hopefully it works itself out. I think you’ll be able to cancel the vet visit.

Regarding spots on the beak, my 3 pekins have developed those as well. I read somewhere that it was just normal pigmentation, and you can do a web search, it seems fairly common for pekins. My ducks are new layers and I've been getting a softshell egg from one of them every day for the past week and a half, and 0-2 regular ones in the nesting box each morning.

I too have a young pekin with some black spots on her bill and I read as well not to worry that it is just pigmentation as well.

Yesterday she laid a somewhat good egg. The shell had very tiny holes in it. Made me think of coral in a way. Today she laid a good egg. But unfortunately I had to call the vet again so I could let them know on Tuesday they'll be seeing my girl for another reason.

I believe she has bumblefoot. I never noticed it until I picked her up yesterday. (From 1 to 3ish I take them both inside. No shade in the yard then and their coop bakes so they can't run in there for shade.)
She shows no signs and is happily wondering around the yard putting weight on both feet. Even standing on it and using her other foot to scratch her face. Hope that means it's in the early stages.

Is there anything I can do to help her until the vet can see her?

Can’t see pic You can start doing epsom salt soaks and using triple antibiotic it depends on how bad the bumble is but it can take quite a while to get them healed up.​

Is triple antibiotic that same as neosporin?

Yes it is and that isn't a really bad Bumble. Do the warm Epsom salt soaks take you time doing the soaks and treatment soon you can peel the scab off and maybe see the infection it will be thick and yellowish. I use a pair of sterile tweezers to dig it out. You can also try silver sulfa dine or a drawing salve. Once you get the scab off you'll need to wrap and keep her out of water and dirt till healed. Your vet will most likely do a different approach but go ahead and start the soaks and treatment and leave the scab until they have seen it.
