How small of an area can a pygmy goat get through?

My advice (long time pygmy owner, but NO longer) is to build a small long wooden box that the chickens can run through.
That way there is no possibility of them squeezing through/stretching wire, busting wooden frames, etc.
What kind of coop fencing are you going to use? Better not be chicken wire because they will tear through that
in a matter of days if they think it's worth the trouble. AND plan on burying ANY wire at least 12in. because they
will snag the wire with their horns and simply "lift" the wire outta the ground. Might want to reinforce the bottom
4 ft. all around the yard/coop/run with no climb steel fence.
Pygmys are opportunists and if or I should say WHEN they think your coop is a cool hangout or chicken feed looks
appetizing it's over!
My ram (whom I dearly loved! was more like a good dog) rammed his way through the fence and crawled through
an 8X8in hole. A RAM with HUGE horns, and he was super fat!
I planted a mini apple orchard and within a week my pygmys had ripped up the super staked 5 ft. no climb steel fencing I used around
EACH TREE and ate them to nubs. Out $800. They stretched the same fencing up and crawled under to get into my
garden and even ate the potato plants I was so proud of! Potato plants are POSIONIOUS!! Didn't kill em.
So I sent them off to the butcher who did!

I miss them SO much and enjoyed the pesky critters, but had to decide if it was all or nothing with them.
