No, it's 2.5 to three miles. Some may foray as far as 10 miles, but that's not the norm.

I should have stipulated...the book I have says they WILL go up to 10 miles to find water.

This thread is from back in May. Many of the questions have been answered in this thread and other threads on bees and honey.

Unless you know someone with a hive they have for sale or captured a swarm you can only buy bee packages in the spring.
