How thrifty are you?

I am so thrifty that:
My DH swears I have a homeing device for the clearance rack in any store we go to.
I just bought $96 worth of clothes from JC Penny for $7 by shopping their 75% off clearance sale and then I used a $10 coupon that they sent me in the mail. The actual cost was $6.42 but I gave the change from my $7 to a charity drive they were having.
I have a garden and I can the veggies.
I sew my own nighties and some clothes.
I grocery shop by buying only sale items, using coupons, and looking for clearance items (unless I am hopping at ALDIS where everything is much cheaper).
I ride into town with my mother, who lives next door, instead of taking my car. Mom goes into town twice a week.
When I do take my car, I combine trips. My trip to JC Pennys (above), was combined with my pickup of two free metal trash cans (freecycle). JC Pennys and the trash cans were 45 miles in the same direction from my house, making the trip to get both reasonable.
I only use my gas dryer to fluff my husbands dress shirts and pants to take out the wrinkles. Ten minuites on high will do the trick. His clothes are then hung on their hangars, with the pants clipped at their cuffs upside down, to dry. They come out wrinkle free.
I cook once and we eat several times off of each meal, warming it in the microwave.
Slow-Cookers are cheaper than the oven to operate, so many things are cooked in the slow-cooker, unless I have enough things that I am cooking to fill the oven.

I am always looking for new ways to save! I look at it as a challange.

I used to buy and sell on e-bay a lot...I would sell my childrens name brand clothing on e-bay and they buy the next size of name brand on e-bay...I also go to the clearance rack of the name brand stores and hold the clothing for the next year and sell it...but then shipping got to much and it was not worth it anymore...

Jesus. I just browsed around there and their ads are worse than our craigslist ads! I didn't see one puppy/dog there listed under $600.

Yes, I used 4 bolts to hold the botom on. It can be hung from a chain so that the hens can't scratch all the feed out and waste it.

The PVC feeder has small holes drilled in the bottom in case rain water gets in, it just passes right through.

The bucket feeders are awesome i have 2 like yours and there is hardly any waste because they cant get in there to kick it out. We used these big galvanized steel dog water pans (i think they hold like 2 1/2 gallons) 4 bolts on the bottom that can be taken apart so you can clean them. i wash mine out once every week not that they need it that often but im kind of a clean freak.

OK, Sylvie give up the recipe.....

It is soooo simple.
Put 1c of rice in a large pan.
Pour at least 2 cups water over it and bring to boil and then simmer until extremely soft, falling apart mushy soupy. May need to add more water to get to this.
Cool slightly and process in a blender, small amounts at a time, adding more water until you get the milk consistency that you like.
Pour it through a strainer into a jar or container and chill. That's it You will need to shake it before each use and may need to add water because it thickens more each day. The commercial rice milks have added vanilla and sugar and you can experiment to see if it tastes better.
Whole oats and rolled oats are made into oat milk in the same way.
I make cream of potato soup and cauliflower soup with rice/oat milk, smoothies and use with my homemade granola. I don't think it will make yogurt but I haven't tried.
BTW I use organic brown rice for it because I prefer a nutrient dense product.
