How to get my chooks to shut up!

Our EE and Beach Jersey Giants are very quiet. The BJG cockerel does crow, but only a few times a day and it is a deeper bass crow, so not hard to tolerate.

Our Black Australorp cockerel crows a fair amount, but the Dark brown leghorn cockerels were obnoxiously noisy-we got rid of them.

The barred rock and silver laced wyandotte Hens are noisy - very talkative, opinionated, sassy.

I wonder if your hens are possibly being noisy due to aerial predators?

I have 3 chooks and they used to be very quiet. Then I hatched some araucanas and since the aras became pullets they have been extremely noisy mainly one of them and their sounds are very weird kind of a mixture of hen and cockatoo.
Since then also the hens started being more noisy.
Also the hens never sang a egg song but since the pullet started they joined in.
I'd like to find a way to shut them up...
But it is also possible that separating them in 2 groups might have an impact on the noise level . Worth a try if you have the space.
