Those are all noisier breeds in my experiences.Brown layers, Black layers, White layers...
Sorta like ISA Browns, Black Stars, and RIWXLeghorn.

My buff Orpingtons don't make too much ruckus. My barnevelder are very quiet, but they also don't go too far. My cochins are quiet, and my Wyandotte don't make much noise to name a few.What are some quiet free-ranging breeds?
Funny, mine are fairly quiet until they see me, then they scream for treats, to be let out to free range, for treats.....Mine make a racket. I check on them and they all pipe down. When I leave they start clucking.
