How to get spouse on board about chickens

Well, you know your hubby is smitten because he got them to be "self sufficient" and

now..................


He says he knows them too well to eat them!

Thanks everybody - very good suggestions and examples. For now, I'm just starting to plant little seeds of suggestion about it so he won't be totally shocked when I say that chickens are all I want for my birthday (or if I happen to come home with a few chicks one day). This is such a friendly group! Thanks again!
