How to grow out silkie crest?

Hi!
I have an adorable bantum silkie. I have a show that I want to go to in a month. She’s molting right now and I know that’s when they regrow their crests. How do I keep the others from pecking it out? I can’t separate her because I’m gone the week before show and I don’t want to stress the chicken sitter. Ideas?

If you can't separate her, I think you'd just have to hope. Do your other chickens normally peck her feathers off?
