How to install apron on chain link

Is this the actual pen you are talking about? Because that isn't chain link. That is welded wire. (Which I much prefer to actual chain link!) And if that IS your actual pen, where did you get it?

It's actually a dog run I purchased at Tracker Supply(something like the one below). My husband will be adding a wire-type roof. We will be getting a small amount of chicks.

you could just roll some chain link out on the ground and place the dog pen on top and "wire" or tie the bottom of the pen to the chain link. Then do a boarder of pressure treated 2x4s all the way around on the inside and fill with dirt.

Like I said, fill it with dirt...bury the chain link with dirt on top

Wether that would work or not would depend entirely on the TYPE of dirt one has. Because here, all you would end up with is several inches of powder that is the consistency of flour. (Even if you wet it down, once it dries and has anything walking on it, it is right back to powder. )
