How to lose 60-70 lbs in a hurry?

Quote:
target weight is 160-165 at 5'6" tall with a heavy bone structure... 135-145 for small-medium... Trust me, I'm as wide as I am tall according to my wife.. And I am sort of scared for more than one reason..

Stress is huge on me right now with my foster daughter, and on a day I wasn't feeling stressed, doc thought I shoulda been hospitialized.. So........... I am serious. Treadmill is mainly aerobic isn't it? I won't be working with weights for a long while now me thinks.

I know... BUT.. just buy the foods for YOU... the others can eat their regular foods...
Chicken and a salad for dinner.... you can even FRY the chicken.. (just no flour...)
Eggs and bacon or sausage for breakfast..
Deviled eggs or boiled eggs for snack... fried pork rinds with hot sauce... buffalo wings with blue cheese and celery... sugar free jello with whipped cream... atkins candy bars(good!)
Salad with ham or chicken or any meats.... with boiled egg and bacon...
Tuna with mayo on lettuce...
Crab sald..
Stuffed mushroomes... (either stuffed with seafood or sausage)..
Steak.... ham... burgers... all with a salad or almost any veggie...
And once you get into ketosis, youre not really that hungry anymore...

I have heard good things about the Mediterranean Diet. It is more of a change in the way you eat rather than a "diet". Here is an article from the Mayo Clinic (I've worked with them...they are awesome).

I was hospitalized with extremely high BP during and after a pregnancy. I don't remember the exact numbers...it was 200/?. It stayed high for about 6 years. I refused the BP meds (don't do this) but stopped eating ALL fried foods for a year. My BP has been normal for 10 years now....and I can eat crap again.

I'll ask DH if he still has his book from that college PE/Health class. They calculated all that stuff in that class, so maybe. You don't have to tell me targets for 5'6"... that's what I am... and the last time I was 145 was before I got my (four years of pain/rot -no dental insurance) teeth fixed... I've just ballooned since then... really, after four YEARS of no sweet, sour, salty, crunchy, chewy, hot or cold... should have seen the splurge coming and prepared. You come up with one that works PLEASE share... pretty please!

Sounds like stress is a biggie... you're an uber responsible... I know that feeling. I literally had three deep gouging wrinkles in my forehead at the ripe old age of 12 from worrying about my mom, siblings, grands, etc. Then there were the migraines, muscle issues, chronic heartburn... then I moved out of mom's house, married DH and had son (later DD) and it's gone... because NOW when I look around I don't see just the horrific things, the dangers, the stress... now the first thing I see are the gifts in my life... and the shadows are just that... shadows... in the background. It's NOT easy by any means, but reprogramming your noggin is possible. When you start to stress, and I sure do hate to sound cliche particularly since I'm not a deist but, count your blessing... literally rattle them off on your fingers... summon up each and every single thing, single person... from wife to kids to mashed potatoes to watermelon on a hot day... and do the breathe in through the nose out through the mouth... until your heart mellows and you no longer have to THINK about breathing that way... you just ARE.

Eh... it's a theory. Sometimes it works.

I just did some quick reading on this one. You inject yourself with pregnancy hormones and cut you calories to 500 a day. There is no way this could be healthy.

Try this -

Big Breakfast - 2 eggs, any style (yes, even fried or an omlet) sausage patty or bacon, black coffee (no sugar, bread or milk)

Big Lunch - 2 chicken breasts, 1/4 cup lettuce, no crutons, shreaded cheese, ham, boiled eggs, cucumbers, ranch dressing (not lite and don't go overboard) green beans, and broccolli.

Small Supper - hamburger patty, with your choice of mustard, mayo, cheese, pickles (2 or 3 slices) but no Ketsup. Plus one of the above veggies or steamed cabbage or greens.

Drink water, water, water (at 230 you should drink 115 ozs of water per day)

Snacks - only if you are about to cheat - nuts, pork rinds, one or two strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries

This is basically Atkins - no bread, no starches, no sugar, not even natural sugar like fruit. Take a good multi vitamin and DO NOT CHEAT! The weight will fall off!

If you exercise it will go even faster!
