If it is having difficulties hatching, it's probably because something during incubation was not right. I will always help a chick hatch if I see that it really needs it. i agree with madamwlf. how is dying better for the animal? it is the responsibility of the chicken owner to do everything they can to help thier birds. what if everytime a human had a difficult birth we said, "well, if he's not string enough to survuve on his own then he should just die"? that's not what we do. we do everything we can to save the baby, even if it is messing with nature. if a chick shrink wraps it's not the chick's fault. the strongest chick in the world couldn't survive shrinkwrapping without a little help.
