I've been reading and looking at pics of all the homemade feeders and want to make some inexpensive hanging type with buckets. One post said go to the grocery deli for free buckets. So DH did, and I have about 6 of them now---but they are not round, they are squarish (not completely square, but more square than rectangular) and all the ones I see on this site are using round buckets, not sure if/how I can make these work. Maybe we just need to go back and ask for round buckets?? Any ideas? Thanks.

Can you make them the same way? They'll just have to eat at the four sides instead of al the way around. You'll need to make the holes closer to the center to make sure the deli tray gets the feed instead of the floor.

Another way is use some five gallon size floor pot like the one use in plant nursery the black plastic one just place them on a pan and the chickens won't waste any feed and it stay dry wish I had some photo to show
