The world is full of good people, and eating pet chickens is way less common than you think. You will definitely want to meet the person and their flock (if they have one) before you give a beloved pet away. I know how hard it is to give away a pet, so I would just stick with allowing your hen to do what she does naturally, and let her lay those eggs. She would keep laying eggs if you gave her away, anyways, and sending her off to someone else just because you don't want to deal with her eggs is quite selfish on your part. Just let her lay those eggs. I promise you she is fine with it.
I wouldn't mind trading her, if they will take care off her the way I wanted them to take care for her or even better. I certainly won't do it, if they won't incubate her fertilized egg that is laid on their property.
