I would go outside and find earthworms and drop them in with the chicks. It's hilarious watching the little guys go crazy over them

well I've shown show chickens since my 7th grade year! and I'm a sophomore now, going on a junior and my chickens are about a month old and the quadroulbed in size I use the Purina turkey feed, then Purina honor show feed. Its a little higher but its worth it

I used soaked dog food and a bit of suet along with bread bugs and fruits along with regular starter food and they grazed on our lawn then they really shot up. Plus the dog food gave them super shiny sleek feathers. They were on nutro which was more expensive but really goes a long way.They also get a lot of time out in the sun and room to run around. Our 3 week olds are fully feathered our 4/5 week olds are ready to go outside already. I had one I kept inside on chick food and his friends (who are younger) are already twice his size

Well, i recently got my second batch of chickens, and boy did they grow up fast, and so far, very healthy. I gave them electrolytes and vitamin mix with their water. And i got them outside and grazing earlier than i usually would. Once they started grazing, they really started growing.
