We are not depopulating, we will be vaccinating and dealing with it...BUT I have 75+ chicks I was NOT keeping and wad giving away. I can't in good conscience give this problem to someone else. I think the responsible thing is to cull...no?

Oh, I see the dilemma. I think you are making the right decision. Even if Marek's is common I doubt anyone would want to risk introducing it into their flocks by getting those chicks. So sorry.
If you have never watched a bird die from mareks you won't understand. You take care of these birds for months(and get attached)...then they get a limp, two days later they can't walk at all. My 13yo son made chairs, special bowls, waterers and despite his whole hearted efforts they waste away and die. We have started culling them when they can't walk because they just waste away no matter how much they eat
no reason to make them suffer. I don't have room for, nor can I afford to feed all these birds to keep them here...

although it may be easier and quicker to do all at once dh won't want to put them through that in their last minutes...he will probably walk each individually so they aren't freaking out in an overcrowded box waiting to die. He is the type to put his own dog down if necessary...he says why freak them out bringing them to a place they hate...he would give them a nice steak and would put them down during a happy moment...anyway, going off topic ...dh will probably just behead
Well, you had asked about "mass" culling.
But I agree, the less stress before they know what's coming, the better.
And if you can't keep the chicks, I think the responsible thing to do is to cull them. It's unethical to knowingly pass this around, because before someone develops an immunity to it, others are going to suffer and die.
