how to mix terramycin?

Does anyone know how to mix the terramycin with water? I bought a package at the feed store today and the directions are so confusing. How much powder do you mix with water? Even the people at the feed store were confused. Also, a couple of my 4 month old silkies have sneezed occasionally. Do you think I should treat them with terramycin as a precaution or wait until I am sure there is a problem? Thank you so much for help!

I was told:

1 gallon water
1 tsp. Terra
2 Tbl. white sugar

1/2 tsp - 1 quart of water

This is the way I was told to mix it. I wouldn't worry about giving them any meds untile I knew for sure there was a problem. Chickens do sneeze......

no i think they're fine but if you have a dusty yard make sure to water it or put in some grass, cause' alot of dust can lead to respritory diesease

I would wait. usually the little sneezes and sniffles in young birds is nothing but a natrual vaccination occuring

what would the sugar be for? to make it sweeter so they will drink it better? I haven't added sugar to mine and they still drink it.

I was told the sugar makes it palatable so they suck it down. I know mine do!
