How to prevent lice, ticks, mites, and such from my chickens ???

Is there a plan, tips, or pesticide that is safe for my chicks to be used to prevent any unwanted bugs from getting to them ?

Can dust the coop with food grade diatomaceous earth. It should be FOOD GRADE, not the stuff sold for pools or as insect killer, which is a respiratory irritant because it is in the crystalline form. You need the amorphous form, which is sold as food grade. Most likely have to order it online, or find a distributor that is close to you.

In addition to sevin, you can use permethrin or pyrethrin. Thoroughly spray the coop/pen, getting into all crevases, let it dry and then you can put the birds back in. And dust the bedding and nest box with powder form. Ivermectin can be safely used (my vet recommends it), although it is not approved for poultry.
