How To Save A Life -A Novel, Also written by you!-

Timothy saw them speaking and came up to them. "I am too. They think my septum piercing and colored hair is rediculous, but I don't care what they think. They're idiots anyway."

"Exactly! They 'dropped' a note that I picked up at lunch telling me not to come within a twelve-foot 'race' of them. It doesn't help that I already went through the lessons of this current part of the year, so I had to teach the rest of the lesson. Then I saw Skye here out on campus, skipping class, and I told him to meet me here. Honestly, if they think that colored hair is ridiculous, I don't even want to know what they consider 'normal' and 'cool', because honestly the whole 'Hypopriss' look doesn't look any better." Skye 1 said.

"I know. When I first got here they dropped a similar note, telling me to get rid of my piercings, dress differently, and dye my hair a natural color. Of course, I didn't listen. They just want everyone to be the same, little perfect robots; it's a rediculous expectation if you ask me. I actually like being punk rock," he said.

"Sorry I'm late!" Thetis said, carrying far too many books.
"Where'd you get the books?" Skye 1 asked.
"Long story." Thetis replied. "Anyways, what does the SSO do?"

A shadow fell across the little group and, looking up, they spotted the tall figure of Artemis. She was not looking at them but instead staring dumbly at a group of "popular" girls. They were covered with jewelry: earrings, bracelets and bangles, rings. Some even sported a few colorful Silly Bandz and Ringz.
"Hi," Skye 1 said, gazing at her. She tucked a blond ringlet behind her ear.
Artemis turned, startled, and grinned nervously. "Um, hi..."
"We're the SSO," Timothy informed her boldly. "Wanna join?" He fingered his nose ring absentmindedly.
"W-what is it? The SSO, I mean?" Artemis inquired. Skye 1 shrugged.
"Easy," she answered. "A bunch of social outcasts. You know, "unpopular" kids." She toyed with a strand of hair.
Artemis looked uneasy. "Um..." She threw a glance back to the group of girls who were laughing at some joke. "I... I'll think about it." With that she walked away abruptly.

"Hey Brédan! Come 'ere!" Thetis called to her brother. Brédan was one of the "popular" kids.
"What?" Brédan asked, flicking his golden blond hair out of his eyes.
"Members of the SSO, this is Brédan." Thetis announced. "He's my bro." Everyone wandered what Thetis was doing.
"Can I go now?" Brédan asked.
"No." Thetis said, Brédan frowned. "Give this to Stacey." Thetis handed Brédan a note and he walked off.

(K, I'm back!)

Skye 1 was bored. "Okay, guys! We need to get this room fixed up. As long as we are the SSO, or the Society for Social Outcasts, we need to get this room in use as the meeting room! I'll start cleaning up." Skye 1 said. "Would you like some help?" Skye 2 asked. He is so cute... Skye 1 thought to herself. "Sure." Skye 1 said and smiled. She started to set up some random conviently placed chairs.

Skye 1 was eating lunch with Skye 2, Timothy, Thetis, and Carmen the next day. They were chatting quietly and wondering where Artemis was when they heard the intercom crackle to life.
"We all will miss our student Artemis Glad greatly I'm sure. She was absent from school today and will not be back. Artemis passed away"--the principal's voice was strange was he said 'passed away'--"This morning. I hope you all will keep the Glad family in your prayers." Then all was silent.
Skye 1 and the others exchanged horrified glances. She heard excited murmurings and gasps around the room, and her heart thumped dangerously.
