How to ship a Serama in 6 easy steps

I'd have to say that I ordered some grow gel to place in front of chicks I was hatching and they did actually go at it.
So......hopefully if works that way for all chickens. It is emerald green which all chooks seem to enjoy so for the price I'd surely sent it along in shipping them.

Great information! I do have a question though. Many places I have read that some states require the birds to be NPIP tested in order to be shipped to the state. How do you know which states require this? If they do require it, what needs to be provided and to whom? Do you just show the testing results at the post office when you ship??

Ive never shipped in any State that has required any paperwork, but I have not shipped to every state yet. They are sent in with special air filters, and most are FED EX and USPS approved. I know that you have to have NPIP to ship out of the states though.

What are the temp regulations for shipping birds? I've been told above 10 below 85. And Ive been told above 32 below 75. I ship when safe for the birds. I wouldn't even ship in 80 degree weather.

I'd have to look, but I believe the USPS site says less than 85* degrees on both ends. I don't know what the minimum is.
