How to stay clean and odorless?

Impossible, you say, grasshopper?

Metal grates under pool
400

A ditch dug under those plywood sheets in the muddiest part of the yard, to catch the water when I drain the pool, or we get heavy rain. And used shavings or fresh straw over the mud pits they like to dig. This serves a dual purpose as the bedding decomposes it hosts worms and bugs for them to feast on, and i have the yard graded on a slant so the water drains into the woods (which are swamp anyway)

If I find a spot they are drilling in too much and creating a hole I just cover it or fill it in with dirt somewhere.

And now that they only sleep in their house from dusk till dawn, I dont put any food or water in their house which stays clean and dry longer.

I also treat theirs and the dogs area with barn lime once in a while , esp when its warm to keep the smell down.
Hope this helps,
Jen
