Maybe tell the previous owners (the parents) about your plan first so they can take him back if they want?
Ugh why did they get Donald in the first place :/
Exactly!

Tell ya what, just pack that duck up and go find a local park where they have a pond and turn him loose, then you won't be having to eat your vegan neighbor's 4 year old daughter's pet duck. Maybe looks for the closest pet sanctuary if it's illegal to turn ducks loose in the park.
If you are so hungry that you need to eat the duck, tell you what, give me your address and I'll send you a $10. bill so you can go to Walmart and buy a whole baked chicken to eat.
I'll throw in $10 bucks for the gas to get the duck to the park. Then you can tell the truth, tell the kid you took her duck to the park where he'll be happy.
I'm not being sarcastic, I really would be willing to pay the $ as an act of kindness and charity and human goodwill to save that precious little 4 year old girl's pet duck. I am after all the Duckmeister, a long lifelong lover of ducks. Our plan is to
Our plan is to bring him to a pond with like 4 other pekins... No need to be sarcastic
Our plan is to
Quote: It's illegal to dump him off at a pond!
Quote: If this is true, then why not pay for shipping him to your address, 'cause dumping him off at a pond is irresponsible and illegal.

Kathy, you'll notice that I did say that if dropping him off at a park was illegal, then finding a pet sanctuary or petting zoo that would take the drake is also an option. I certainly would be willing to ship the drake to my house though, just send me an address and I will send a shipping box in the mail with a pre- paid shipping label from the post office. Hopefully all the insensitive comments from people on this thread who have no regard for the feelings of a 4 year old child, and are callous to brutally expose her to the fact of her pet duck being butchered and eaten; Hopefully are all sticking with raising birds and farm animals and don't have exposure to human children. There's already enough unkindness in this world, we don't need any more.If this is true, then why not pay for shipping him to your address, 'cause dumping him off at a pond is irresponsible and illegal.
