How to Tell a Fertile vs INfertile Egg (Pictures)

Pics
By ostrich egg being the largest single cell they mean the unfertilized white dot on the yolk inside the ostrich egg....not the entire ostrich egg with shell and yolk....that is made up of many thousands of cells.

Also there is a type of algae that is actually a larger single cell than the ostrich egg cell....it can be a meter long and still be only a single cell it's called Caulerpa.

I couldn't find a bullseye or anything in it anywhere I'll try to get a better picture of another one some time this week I'm still in the process of getting my hen to go broody for me trying to keep as many eggs I can in her nest that one fell out and hit the floor so I used it

Ok so while I was cooking up a few of my eggs that were a little older I did notice the bullseye in the three I cooked up maybe the other egg wasn't old enough?

You can't 'make' a hen go broody, either they are or they aren't.

Not sure the fertile spot changes with age...... unless they are kept warm enough (100 degrees F) for 48-72 hours to start developing.
