Hens can store sperm and fertilise their eggs for up to 3 weeks after a successful mating, but it's recommended to wait 4 eggs for a hen to clean herself out completely if you do not want a specific rooster's offspring.How long can the sperm inside the hen be viable for?
I recently ( 3 weeks ago perhaps) gave away a NN bantam roo and he was young but he was also already tagging my NN bantam hens! I looked at the egg yolks this am to try finding the spot and found them, possibly fertile?
These were laid within the last couple of days, I think middle one could be!

I suppose 2 sperm can fertilize one yolk...that sure is what it looks like.
