How to Tell a Fertile vs INfertile Egg (Pictures)

Pics
Yes, yes they are!

What is the red spot in the egg? My husband thought it is the umbilicus and thus it is fertile, he cracked one open this morning and said, "Hunny, I think the roos are finally old enough to tag our ladies!" LOL I didn't get the chance to see the rest of the egg that closely, but noticed in the pic that there is a red spot, like the one he found in the egg.

Any chance this is a sign of fertile?

How long can the sperm inside the hen be viable for?
I recently ( 3 weeks ago perhaps) gave away a NN bantam roo and he was young but he was also already tagging my NN bantam hens! I looked at the egg yolks this am to try finding the spot and found them, possibly fertile?

These were laid within the last couple of days, I think middle one could be!
Thoughts!

It's hard to tell from your pics, but at least one of them look like it may be fertile. Hens can store sperm and fertilise their eggs for up to 3 weeks after a successful mating, but it's recommended to wait 4 eggs for a hen to clean herself out completely if you do not want a specific rooster's offspring.

Also, one more thing, how can I get one of our hens to incubate the eggs and hatch them, any particular breed better at it?

Broodiness is hormonal and can happen any moment, or never. Some hens are more prone to broodiness and some breeds (Silkies for example) are very prone to it. You can encourage broodiness by leaving some eggs in the nest box for the hens and see if they fall for it. I've had some success with this method in the past.
