How to tell if your chick is shrinkwrapped

Hi all! How can you tell if the membranes are shrinkwrapped on an eggie that is zipped? This is my first time and my first egg is zipped at 6am and I noticed no progress, and that the membrane almost looks...dry? Or is that how it's supposed to look? I upped my humidity. I admit I took out 2 seeping eggs that obviously stopped developing today because I noticed a smell. I hope I didn't mess up the humidity

Anyone? The bottom half of his shell is off now, but the top is stuck to his head. It's definitely shrink wrapped to him...how do I get it off? I don't know what to do. I also see a little bit of blood by his vent but it doesn't appear to be bleeding.

Sounds like the membranes stuck to him head. Take the little guy out and put warm water on him and slowly and CAREFULLY try to take off the shell and membrane. Dont touch anything else on his body. If its very dry then the humidty sounds too low.

Use a q-tip with warm water to work off the dried on membrane. Humidity sounded a bit too low.
