how to tell RIR Pullet or Roo

I am about to pick up some RIR from a local person well they are 12 weeks old and we get to choose them ourselves and I was trying to figure out if I could get some advice about how to tell the difference.

Generally, RIRs, like my Speckled Sussex, the pullets faces will be look browner, while the roos are ususally whiter, but this is easiest to she at the stge right before they are losing the last of their baby down and getting their feathers in, also look for thinner, shorter leggs in the pullets.
