Hello!
400

Welcome to BYC and the coop! There's a lot of great peeps here! Feel free to ask lots of questions. But most of all, make yourself at home. I'm so glad you decided to joined the BYC family.

Welcome to BYC - if you post photos of the birds we can help you sort things out. It is helpful to include their age if you know it as some of the things you can use to sort male/female change depending on the age of the bird.

I have some 6 week old chicks that I hatched from eggs that a co-worker gave me. I am not sure of all the breeds but I am still not sure which ones are hens. There are 17 of them. I tried to get some good pictures if any one can tell I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for the help.

In the first picture, the barred chick, third chick on the back row, and chick furthest to the right are all cockerels.

2nd pic- white chick, second chick from left, and front black chick all are pullets.

3rd pic is pullet.

4th pic- two in back are cockerels

Thanks. I have another question. I have one that was hatched at the same time as the rest but is only half the size. She seems to not be as active the last day or so. I separated her out. Is that a good plan?
