How to tell the age of a chick?

Hey guys! I was just curious if you know what feathering a chick would have at one week of age... generally of course! I know many breeds are different! Also.. what age are most chicks the day they come in to the feed store?

almost all chicks are 2 days old when they come to the feed store

At one week, most have a little bit of feathers on their wing tips. By two weeks, they're starting to get short little shoots of feathers on their tails. If you post a pic, we can be more accurate.

Yes at a week old they have around a third of the end of their wings feathered in plus they are very active, but not yet able to fly/jump very high. I have a little chick right now who has already got little tail feather stubs at exactly 7 days old.

The polish I picked up 3 weeks later than the others... They do have a couple tail feathers.

It's easy to tell their age in days. If you ask them, and they peep once, they are one day old. If they peep twice, then two days old. If the keep on peeping, maybe you should feed them!
