My son's hen Mabel has been sitting on some eggs for a couple of weeks. We removed the other hens (3) and the rooster a week ago to incorporate them into 6 new hens we got so Mabel has been alone. This morning Mabel was downstairs in the coop and laying on her side. She couldn't stand let alone walk. She has since died. We've been checking on her twice daily and hadn't noticed any symptoms. She was eating and drinking normal as well as pooping normal. Now we are worried this might have been Marek's. How do we clean the coop well enough to make sure no other hen gets sick?

So sorry about the loss of your hen. She may have died from weakness or dehydration due to hot weather and being broody and weak. If she had Mareks, then no amount of cleaning can prevent it, since it gets into dust and spreads through the dander. Just normally clean out your bedding, sweep, and disinfect with 10% bleach water on surfaces and equipment. Then let it air dry and air out for a week or two. That should be good enough.
