How to train baby chicks?

Thanks everyone! They are doing better.
They are my pets/egg layers so this is really important to me.
Here are some pics.

Here's a better pic.

Yesterday I took two out and I had them on my lap while I was reading.
My Black Australorp on my shoulder and my Silkie on my lap.
Today I'm going to take the other two out while I read.  (My Black sex link and my Brown sex link)
My Brown sex link is the one that I'm having the most trouble taming.
My Black sex link is OK, but I'd like her to be more friendly.
My Black Australorp is sweet and most of the time calm.
My Silkie is the sweetest and calmest.

Do they sit on your hand? I find mine prefer to be picked up with my hand under their body
I put my hand under them and start to raise it slowly, more often than not they are really calm and relaxed

They are adorable! Mine are pets and egg layers too, well apart from the two roos but they wasnt planned! lol they all look pretty comfortable with you now :-D

Beautiful, mine are cuckoo Marans they never sit in my hand like that the prefer to be perched, I have so many scratches I'm thinking of getting
One of those a leather gloves a falconer wears!
Theyl scratch less as they get older iv found but as they get heavier they dig in rather than scratch!

Adorable Pics (I can't ever seem to see enough chick pics!)! So glad they are doing better. It does look like they are getting comfy with their mommy! Love the name Spunky Pumpkin - sounds like it fits her well!
