how to use the little funny icons

I always see the little funny faces and icons in peoples messages now how do you use them!

to the right of the message box it says: Smilies click on the word "show" and the smilies will come up. click on the smiley of your choice and it will be inserted in the message.

When you click on "reply", there is a window to the right that says smilies- click on show, then you know the rest- The only trick is to put a space in between a smiley and anything else.

Don't forget to hit the space bar! Do it again.

Further question about this...I keep seeing different ones on other peoples posts, that aren't available to me when I post?
