How well can geese see in the dark?

Oh..... poor thing. Mine seem to do fine at night. Although, since they are all mostly white they follow each other into the pen. I have ducks and geese together and the ducks go in first then the geese. Sometimes the geese will try and sleep outside the by the door. I do have a light on in that area at night. I can see why ducks and geese sleep during the day because they seem to be up having a good time all night. I don't know if they can hear me or see me but they know when I will come out of the house at night to take a peek their way. I try to be very quiet too..... lol.

I don't know either, I do know when I heard them I had to get up and listen at the window because I really thought I was hearing things.

I've never been with my gander after dark to tell if he can see in the dark or not.

I often herd my geese into their sheds after dark and the way the stumble around, walk into solid objects,
walk in circles and act totally lost at times says to me they can't see well in the dark.

if I left my gander out after dark he would probably have a heart attack, he is at the door ready to go in at well before dusk. I will have to stay out with them after dark [next summer] to cold now.

My birds all gather to the the south west portion of their pen that is closest to the porch light and sleep there. I agree with Cottage Rose that sebbies are blind as bats.

My white Chineese do well in low light but in black dark they just sit down and don't move much .
they are much easier to catch at night tho . I have a dusk till dawn light in their aera with a 40 watt bulb and this makes it possissable for them to see at night .
