How & what to feed orphan dove chick?

One of the parents of a week old dove chick(s) has died. The remaining parent only fed one chick, the other died. Now it appears to have abandoned the remaining chick. I'm willing to hand rear the chick, but have no idea what to feed it. I'm assuming I would use an eye dropper or small syringe?

You can buy some bird formula at the pet store. You mix that with water, I believe, and yes, you can feed the baby with a dropper. People are quite successful doing that. Good luck to you!

Make sure you don't feed the little one too much. And don't feed it too little either. When the crop feels like a balloon 3/4 full of water then it is enough.
