How young will they crow?

My head cockerel still hasn’t crowed at 5 months!

8 roosters? Wow! How do you handle them all? Or how many hens?

I have a rather different arrangement for the chickens I look after here. I have small groups or tribes which have their own coops. Each tribe has a rooster and some have two or more roosters/cockerels, father and son/s. I’ve had five tribes at most and now I have three with a new tribe about to form.
They are all free range during the day.
I rarely have any serious problems with the roosters; If they’ve got hens they’re usually happy.
Each group/tribe has at least four hens. The overall population fluctuates between twenty and thirty.
I tend not to have many of the problems I read about on these forums regarding ‘difficult’ roosters or overly aggressive hens.
Yep, it gets very noisy at times.:)

He looks sweet :) My youngest rooster, Raptor, is 6 months, hes missing a wing and I wondered if hed ever crow... he's been trying to mount chickens the last month or so, but still no crow. Theres a stag pen with his brothers alongside, who crow like crazy, it could be that he lets them do the talking lol...
