(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes we are new to chickens as our own personal family members. Although, I lived in a small one time rural town and I have been around livestock and chickens throughout my childhood.
We got our girls in early August 2017 .....after much study and preparations. Woo Hoo!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 4 lively and beautiful girls. They are about 9 months old now and I can see that they have grown since we got them.
(3) What breeds do you have?
My rainbow coalition consists of : a Jubilee Orpington, a black Americauna (sp ?), a white with black speckles Leghorn/Rhode I Red cross, and a brownish orange Rhode I Red/Bar cross.

See number 1....like I said ....extensive research and preparation, especially on the web.... all of it ...was very helpful!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
All sports and aquatic activities ....we live by the beach! Hang Ten! We started raised bed gardening, like to travel and working around our home. I am retiring Jan. 1st.....so excited to do more!!!!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am Dad to two active and wonderful boys! Hubby to my lovely wife Margaret. Big brother to my 5 younger siblings and extended family, who are my best friends. We have a new puppy, a rescue, we have a domestic rabbit, a rescue and some tropical fish. Its a holy tank.... only Cardinals and Angels....get it ? Retired Education Administrator as of Jan. 1. Cannot wait!!!!!!
