Howmuch snow ya got?

Right now, about this much. As much as you can see behind Buttercup here. It was the most recent snow shot I had. We just got a dusting of like 3 inches.

But in December when the n’oreaster came through about this much.

This is a picture inside of the run. There’s two coops in there somewhere. It was a new kind of hell digging them out at 6am. 3 feet of snow if I remember right. I hope the rest of the winter is mild. I’m looking forward to spring so I can redo my run and coop setup.

We have missed out on the big nasty storms. Counting my blessings on that. We've also missed out on almost all the snow. Dealing with grumpy hubby on that.

He wants snow? My husband hates snow. I’m okay with the one big storm we get near Christmas. Then I’d be happy if it was spring again.

Our yard was a skating rink and the chickens kept slipping on it. So I got some sand and made them a path. They loved eating it. Then it snowed again and ruined the path for them. Fuzzy, my roo, was so mad. He hates snow.

We got it all before Christmas. Then it was in the 50s on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. So it all melted.

Not to mention all the rain that happened a few days after the massive snow fall.

We've had hardly any snow so far this season.
Most thawed or got rained out.
Ground is hardly frozen so slushy underneath.
Just cold enough to lock up the 3-4" we've got now...
2 more inches tomorrow then I should be able to throw the driveway clear before the next thaw.

Hubby wants to cross country ski and snowshoe.

I learned long ago that nordic ski season is Xmas to V-Day.
Glad I can't ski anymore because the conditions have stunk for the past few years.

So the three feet all melted?? And went AWAY???

My kids adore snow since they can then snowboard and snow machine.
