The Chicken Shows I know of are Sussex in NJ, the queens one I just mentioned, and one in CT.

Hellooo Hudson Valley Peeps~

I'm beginning to get Backyard Chickens Withdrawal.

The Coops are in need of a good cleaning very, very badly. Almost finished w/a quilt for my DD...her Bridal Shower is Sunday. At my house. There's more shopping to do...food to cook...wine and beer to buy...decorating...cleaning! The anxiety level is up to HERE. I need a magic wand.

BUT...there's less freeloadin' and more layin' around here! Finally.

I hope everyone is doing well!! What's new & exciting? How are all the chickens & chicks doing?

I feel like with the cooler weather I am already getting ready for fall. So for me its all about running around trying to get the last days of summer things. I have had such a problem getting a contractor to do some remodeling in my house, the roof needs to be finished...its just a lot. Plus I just signed a contract to go back to work. My son is starting at school on Sept 9th...and I am still waiting on shipped eggs. Kind of bummed because I will be at work when they hatch

The two chicks in the brooder are getting huge. I think I have a pullet that is going broody....should be interesting.
Lots of yard work to do today too.

Your DD is getting married!! How exciting!! You must be so proud of her! I cant imagine the stress of planning a bridal shower!
Glad to here more of the girls are laying, I knew they would come around!
Nothing to exciting here...just waiting for the muscovy hens to hatch out their ducklings, should be soon..Just aheads up, if you ever get a muscovy hen dont try to candle her eggs while she is sitting on them!!! Lmao they will protect their nest to the death.
My Hamburg hen hatched out 3 chicks and their all doing well...I have to build onto the hamburg coop very soon to get ready for all the new comers.

I am going back into retail work. I usually am a secretary or assistant but I am starting something new. I hope all goes well with your daughters shower.
