Ooo! I can't wait to see them. I'm so excited!!!! I haven't checked on her yet....the OCD/ADD tendencies are taking over today. Every time I think "Ok I'm going out to visit the chickens" I hear the dryer buzz or start cleaning something.

Anyway, how's the chick doing? Pictures pleeeeze!

Ill get pics as soon as I take him/her out of the incubator! I lent somone my little cage I use as a brooder and I have a pregnant rabbit in my other cage .so I have to set up a makeshift brooder until I find something better to use.

I checked earlier and she wasn't in the nesting box ~ and ~ there are now 4 eggs in there (she was sitting on 2 yesterday). Do you think she quit?

Somone else is using her nesting box..I would leave 1 or 2 eggs in there just incase..you might have another hen who likes that box aswell and is bulling her.

It figures. They have NEVER used the box she is/was sitting in. There are 4 nesting boxes and they ALL use the same one.
Well...I guess I'll just leave everything the way it is for now and check on them tomorrow.

I forgot to ask....When is your pregnant rabbit due?

I have no chickens at the moment but have an order of BLR Wyandottes coming in may.

Heres a pic! I dont know what breed it is lol I just sent the pic to the lady I bought the eggs from, hopefully she can help! I know she put in BLRW eggs aswell..but this dosnt look like a SL or a BLR to me...so I think my million dillar chick isnt even a breed I wanted
As for the rabbit...she had her kits last night...I have yet to try and see how many she had because she is keen on ripping my hand apart when I go in to count.

So im pretty sure he/she is a Black Orpington! Not confirmed yet tho, still havnt heard back from the breeder...but she did tell me she has Show quality Orpintons aswell which she sells for $65/dozen eggs or $100 a bird.
If it is a black Orp he/she will be going in with my Lavender Orps so I can breed for split lavenders and better my small flock of Orps!

Sorry I have been busy! Anyway I got some eggs to incubate today, I have no idea what kind. Two light green and a brown. I hope they are viable, they were accidently put in an incubator for a short time.
