HUGE Forum Changes – New Sections & New Rules – MUST READ!

---------------------UPDATE---------------------

We've also recently moved some of the positions of the "Categories" and "Forums" within those categories to keep the chicken related categories (Main & Breeds) together.

All this is in an effort for better organization and use of the site. We know change is hard, but BYC will be around for a VERY long time and will continue to grow like crazy, so we want to put these important improvements in place as soon as possible.

This is so much better, strangely I actually feel relieved for some reason.
It must be because lately you come to this forum and you have to hold your breath and grit your teeth and all that when you just want to get some chicken info and relax and hang out.
I think that people will be better behaved and everyone will be much happier all around without so much controversy.
Thanks so much for the changes. This site will be more enjoyable and fun now.

FEEDBACK NEEDED!

It's been 2 days since we made the changes. What's your feedback on the removal of the "Everything Else Chicken" section? It really had been a dumping ground for everything. Our staff have moved a TON of topics from it that should have been put into other sections.

So: Are you all doing okay without this "junk drawer" we called "Everything Else Chicken"?

I kinda liked the Everything Else Chicken section. But I can totally see why it had to be revamped. It really was a dumping ground, I guess. But you never quite knew what you'd find there. Sometimes that was good, sometimes bad. But it was kinda cool.
I do like the changes though. Change is good sometimes. And I know it will make life much easier on the Mods.

New site arrangement is great. I'm really resistant to change, but I am already used to it!

Someone suggested using Index instead of Recent Posts if you want to avoid see all those games. I thought that was a very helpful idea.

Most of the time - I just look at recent posts.

I'll then click on MY posts and UNanswered or recent.

So for me its still pretty much the same.

I always look down at the bottom of the Index page for recent posts, then go right to My Posts. Then I browse the forums that interest me. It adds a few more forums to poke my nose into, but if it's easier on the mods then I'm all for it!

You Mods are really extra special here! If it helps things run more smoothly for you, then I'm all for it. I try to avoid the contentious threads anyway - we all have strong feelings about some topics and those strong feelings should be kept to private messages if at all.

I'm new and I can find what I want to read or post to here so I'm a happy BYCer!
