Huge lump on chick

Once iam home i will post photos, I tossed the food on the floor and they loved pecking it up. Mabye a little too much!

Do not mess with that chick's crop. Chicks will fill up until they look like the crop is going to explode. It's what they do. It's how God designed them. Leave the chick alone. assume that if the chick is moving and acting well, and not doing a distress peep that all is well. I would never attempt to "clear" a chick's full crop. Nor would I remove food during the day. Chicks should be sleeping all night, if they have MHP or a broody hen. If that is the case, the crop will be empty in the morning. If the chick is on a heat lamp, it would not be harmful to remove the feed for the night so you can check for the expected empty crop first thing in the morning. Do not remove the water.

I think that you are seeing a full crop in a chick who has sparse down on that section of her body.

It's a very well-fed chickie! It's totally normal for chick crops to get super full like that. Unless s/he starts acting like something is wrong, I think there is no problem!

Thanks everyone soo much! Just after 4 hours the swelling is gone, and i didnt take their food either

They are peeping scratching pecking running nutcases!

Its definitly not air and its not on the wing, i shined a bright light on it and i think i can see feed threw the skin

It feels like feed inside it.

Good! This is one of those occasions where I'm glad to be wrong. I agree with the other posters, chicks can sometimes eat until they seem to be about to burst.
