Yep,

Our silkie went to the farmers market with us yesterday and rode around in the little red wagon.

Most people asked me what kind of poodle she was.

She does act like a dog... but a poodle?? She has a beak for petes sake!

I guess Ill have to be like rimshoes and hide her in my barn... oh wait... I don't have a barn. Oh well.

LOL I used to walk my sheep 5 miles a day to get them ready for shows and people always asked what breed of dog they were. I like Silkies but I don't currently have any.

My mom saw my Silkies for the first time on Thursday. She LOVED them! She said "OMGosh, they look like MUPPETS...no wait, what are those puppets with strings??? Oh yeah, marionettes...they look like MARIONETTES!" She thought they were so cute

Hehehe, Dr. Seuss, that's perfect!

It's funny that Silkies have been around forever (Marco Polo wrote about them, right?)...and they are so popular with us crazy Chicken People...so why don't more people know about them? I mean, I've never owned a ferret...but I know what it is

Calling Silkies, "chickens", is a stretch. I usually refer to them as fake chickens.
