When people come to my barn I hide my silkies. I would not wish this addiction on any one. Heck, they may even call the law and tell them them I enabled them and started them on a horrid addiction.

LOL I used to walk my sheep 5 miles a day to get them ready for shows and people always asked what breed of dog they were. I like Silkies but I don't currently have any.
My mom saw my Silkies for the first time on Thursday. She LOVED them! She said "OMGosh, they look like MUPPETS...no wait, what are those puppets with strings??? Oh yeah, marionettes...they look like MARIONETTES!" She thought they were so cute

When I'm talking about them to someone who's never seen one and not where they can see mine, I describe them as something out of a Dr. Seuss book.
It's funny that Silkies have been around forever (Marco Polo wrote about them, right?)...and they are so popular with us crazy Chicken People...so why don't more people know about them? I mean, I've never owned a ferret...but I know what it is
