Human Predator? Bon Jovi is gone!

I've been sick thinking all the time waiting to breed him and how he lets my 5 year old grand daughter carry him around like a puppy and he's probably being eatten.

Most of the people in this neighborhood have chickens. One house down the street has about 25-30 Game roos going off all the time. I hear mine crow, but I've been here since March and the people next door didn't know I had chickens until my d"Uccle hen flew over their fence and one of their 3 baying beagles got her. My birds at the quietest around.

I have no enemies, because I don't know anyone around here and I don't bother people. I've walked all over and only found 2 feathers in the alley behind me. No blood, no body, just some feathers. There were a lot on the coop, but not enough where an animal did this. Oh and they didn't open the coop door???? They pulled the framework loose and pulled him out. I found where they tried to put it back on. He may have lost feathers being pulled through.

I'm actually in the city, not really rural, just ghetto. There are chickens out walking around the street right this minute and mine are always contained. The one's that flew in the neighbors yard only made it, because I didn't do a head count and opened the top of that coop to clean it out.

I have pics on my phone of him, so I'll take them with me Monday. If I see anyone in the office before that I'll stop in and let them know.

I just want him back. I don't care who took him, just bring him back. Heck they want a chicken I'll give them one, but I need him.

My chickens were killed by a raccoon, and there were feathers everywhere.
I think Henry was even carried away. I never saw him again. That was this summer. I've never stopped hoping that he may have got away. I hope he's still alive. I wish I knew where he is. Dead or alive so I don't have to worry. Even if he did survive, he would be frozen by now, I live in Michigan by lake huron. I hope you find him alive. I'm hoping for you. Bon Jovi is coming back, I hope.

Im leaning toward an animal taking him, esp during the day and if he were young, how would they even know he is a rooster, they must have been in a hurry to. I would do the camera thing cause your others may be in danger, if it was an animal they will be back.

He was almost a year and when anyone he didn't know came near him he crowed. They broke the trim that held the hardware wire in place. They even tried to put it back, so I know it was a person. I have some neighbors looking for him for me. I offered some Cuckoo Marans chicks to whoever brings him home.

The coop was locked, so since where it was broken into is in an area the neighbors wouldn't have seen. It was towards the back under the nesting boxes. The run faces their backyard and they could have seen out of their kitchen window. I went out back last night and two of the sons scared the daylights out of me. They saw my little dimming flasjlight and thought someone was back for my birds. LOL I could have been hit with a baseball bat if I hadn't let them know it was me. They waited outside while I finished checking on things.

i dont want you to fear same thing happened to your pet bird..but make others aware what could happen if they have human takeing bird... a friend once saw a car stop 2 teenage boys jump out, grab chicken end of their driveway..& drive off...her husband jumped in truck caught up with them..at the lake with chicken in arms...he gave them a tongue lashing..demanded they pay him for value of bird they stoled...(($10 ))..after he got home, police arrived..boys called police to report harressment, being forced to pay..boohoo behavior...saying they thought chicken was lost & resuced it......ya right ..makes you wonder what they were doing with it by lake..??...needless to say my friend was in big trouble..got lexture from police saying he should of called them (( police dept is over 20 miles away && surely wouldnt bother hurrying for a chicken ))...he had to give back money to boys & I think pay a fine.........personally i hope your bird lost was taken by animal preditor or even a hungry person to feed a family.... not by someones jerk child that they didnt teach better to respect others property & theft was wrong.
