Max raised his head. He almost blurted out, 'Really?!' but tried to keep his surprize to a minimum. "Sure," he said. "Where?"

Skylar put Pirate in his aviary. She had to change the chickens water and refill their feed. She hummed a little song that was rather off-key as she worked. Her favorite Hen, Missy, a bantam polish, came up to her. "Hiya Miss Missy!" Said Skylar, giving her a pat on her head floof. Buffy, a buff brahma, skidded up. She was beautiful alright, with a golden head that looked as soft as satin, and a big dense body that she was sure was entirely feathers. Skylar wanted nothing more than to hold her and pat her soft head, but she was flighty as heck. In fact, Skylar was sure that Buffy hated her! But Skylar loved her all the same. When Skylar was holding some scratch, the other chickens would crowd around her, and devour the food. By the time Buffy got up the courage to grab some, the food would be gone. Buffy would stare at Skylar's hand, see that it was empty, then bite Skylar's finger. OUCH! Skylar flinched at the memory.
